Choosing panel thickness is a balance of strength, weight and cost. Over-specifying wastes material; under-specifying risks failure.

Common applications

• 18mm calibrated plywood: cabinet carcasses, shutters, wall panelling
• 19mm calibrated blockboard: doors, long shelves, table tops, partitions
