The Science of Zero-Gap Calibration in Premium Blockboard

Precision as a Promise
Every premium panel begins long before the press. Zero-gap calibration is a manufacturing discipline that ensures the internal core battens are seasoned, sized and assembled with no voids between them. The result is a panel that stays flat, holds screws with authority, and never telegraphs imperfections through a laminate surface.
Why gaps matter
Internal gaps are the silent enemy of a blockboard. They cause surface waviness, reduce screw-holding strength and create weak points that fail under load over time. By calibrating each core to a consistent thickness and clamping under a four-times hot-press cycle, we remove those gaps entirely.
Imported pine, engineered here
We source 100% imported pine wood for our GOLDCLASS range. Its uniform density and low resin bleed make it ideal for calibration. Combined with E1-grade resin, the panel achieves low emissions and long-term structural integrity.
The measurable difference
- Dimensional tolerance held within a fraction of a millimetre
- Superior flatness across a full 8x4 sheet
- Consistent 19mm thickness for predictable fabrication
Calibration is not a marketing term for us. It is the reason dealers specify RAAJPANEL by name.
